A Research On Discipline Construction In Universities And Cultivating Innovation Postgraduates

Since the ancient times, the prosperity and rise of a nation should depend on "the innovation". But the key of innovation lies in the talented people who have innovative ability. The graduate education will be on the top of higher education. The graduate students are the main origin of creative persons in future. On the time of knowledge economy, it is especially urgent and important to improve the creativity of graduate students. Therefore, it is extremely important that how to raise their creativity. Discipline construction in universities is the basis for the development of postgraduate innovation abilities, which provides support in cultivating and improving postgraduate innovation abilities.By adopting such research methods as literature review, quantitative&qualitative analysis, and investigating studies,this paper focuses on disciplinary construction,postgraduate education& cultivating innovation postgraduate,and is mainly composed of the four folowing chapters besides the first and the last chapter:Firstly,discipline construction in universities is the basis for the development of Postgraduate Education.Related concepts are defined like discipline,discipline construction meaning,role of discipline construction is briefed to explain the inter-promotion relationship between discipline construction and postgraduate education, and demonstrate discipline construction is the basis for the development of postgraduate education.Secondly,postgraduate education is to cultivate innovation postgraduate.The connotation and denotation of innovation postgraduate and innovation education are briefly defined.The mission and meaning of innovation education are discussed to explain the essential of postgraduate education is innovation education. Thirdly,analyzing discipline construction's influence on cultivating innovation postgraduates. This chapter mainly analyzes the theoretical basis and practical experience of cross-discipline construction,scientific research and accumulating a good faculty are in their process of cultivating innovation postgraduates. It proves that discipline construction in universities is an effective means to cultivate innovation postgraduates.Lastly,Strengthen discipline construction and proposes some measures and suggestions on how to enhance the cultivation of novation postgraduate.This chapter points out that universities in our country can seek development and perfection through such ways of emphasizing cross-discipline construction, strengthening scientific research activities,accumulating a good faculty&proposing the environmental construction of discipline,in hope that more and more innovation postgraduates wil be cultivated by universities of our country soon.
