The Qianjiang minority district refers to the original Qianjiang district,It contains the Qianjiang Tujia and Miao minority autonomous district,the Shizhu Tujia and Miao minority Autonomous County,the Pengshui Tujia and Miao minority Autonomous County,the Youyang Tujia and Miao minority autonomous county and the Xiushan Tujia and Miao minority Autonomous County.This area is underdeveloped in economy,culture,education.Because of various reasons,the middle school biology has passed through difficult development.The middle school biological teaching situation in Qianjiang minority district becomes illegible.It made some trouble in making further policy for biological teaching in minority area.From 2005 to 2006,through the questionnaire survey,the interview survey and the literature survey,we investigated the status quo of Qianjiang minority district biological teaching.The research result showed:The biological teaching condition in Qianjiang district is quite backward. The multimedia classroom proportion in high school can only reach 65.00%(while nearly every classroom in the city provides multimedia).The countryside middle school has'hardly the perfect multimedia classroom,and the multimedia uses are more anxious.In the biological teaching those who used multimedia frequently only occupied 6.45%,and those who never used multimedia in the biological teaching reached as high as 64.52%;The biology experimental condition is bad.The opening of experimental class is not satisfactory.Those which opened experimental class more or less is 32.26%.The percent of rural schools which do not open the biological experiments reaches as high as 18.75%,and experimental classes in arts classes are not set up almost;The percentage of biological teachers whose major in college were not biology reaches as high as 35.48%;The biological teachers' teaching methods is backward.The teacher who use traditional teaching methods occupy irrevocably 38.71%;which affect the promotion of new teaching methods and education reform.The biological teachers' specialized knowledge training form is unitary.There are few teachers Who have received new knowledge training.The students like biology very much,but they can't learn it better.The outstanding student drains seriously.In the Xiushan Tujia and Miao minority Autonomous County,the rate of personnel,loss of the first 100 students in entrance examination to high school reach as high as 68.00%.Education Committee and the school does not pay much attention to it,Some Education Committee does not have the professional biology researcher,In the continuing education there is not biological specialized knowledge,Some schools reduce biological classes of the junior middle school and the high school's art classes. Qianjiang minority biology teaching development is not.balanced.Qianjiang district surpasses Shizhu County;Shizhu County surpasses Youyang County,;Youyang County surpasses Pengshui County;Pengshui County surpasses Xiushan County.Consider the Qianjiang minority district's biological teaching development present situation. First,in my opinion we should change the teaching ideas.The leaders in education Committee,the School leaders,the grade leaders,the biological teachers and the students must attach importance to the biological teaching;Next,we should enlarge the biological teaching investment to improve the teaching conditions;Third,The biological teacher should improve their own qualities and adapt the current biological educational reform;Fourth,The Educate Department should formulate the policy of suiting this local biological teaching development.
