In recent years,China's economy has developed rapidly,and the demand for talents is increasing.The country has also attached more importance to the education of young people.In order to meet the requirements of youth education and adapt to the changes and development of the times and the needs of personal life,the 2017 edition of“Biology Curriculum Standard”clearly puts forward the concept of core accomplishment,which embodies the values of educating people in biology discipline and also illustrates the needs of students'future development,i.e.paying equal attention to knowledge and ability,and advancing thought and practice together.POE teaching strategy is commonly used in demonstration experiment teaching and has achieved many results,but there are few researches on inquiry experiment and grouping experiment.In this study,POE?Predict-Observe-Explain?strategy is applied to the biology experiment teaching in middle schools,and the experimental courses suitable for applying POE strategy are selected.Compared with traditional experiment teaching,the advantages and practical significance of applying POE strategy to the experiment teaching in middle schools are demonstrated from the aspects of“experimental operation ability”,“learning experience”,“completion of experiment activity list”and“learning achievement”.The main research results are as follows:?1?With the POE teaching strategy as the core,designing teaching cases in theory,and reflecting on the adjustment based on practice,thesis designed some experimental teaching cases in the 7thGrade of biology(the 1stvolume).The four cases were all important student experiments in junior high school,which could provided reference for other front-line teachers and students'independent learning.?2?Adopting POE strategy to carry out biological experiment teaching had improved students'practical ability to experiment.The students in the experimental class were more familiar with the experimental process and could complete the experimental activity list better.In addition,after the experiment,there was a significant difference in the test scores between the 2 classes,which showed that POE teaching strategy for biological experiment teaching had certain advantages for students'test scores.?3?In this research,compared with the control class,the students in the experimental class was obviously more positive and had significant differences in learning experience after one semester of POE strategy biology experimental teaching.This showed that the POE teaching strategy could improve students'cognition and stimulate students'interest in biology.?4?The experimental teaching based on POE strategy had enhanced students'interest in biology courses and significantly improved their academic performance.After POE teaching strategy were applied to junior high school biology experiment class,the average score of students in experimental class was 37.83 points,while that in control class was 30.95 points.The average score of experimental class students were nearly 7 points higher,showing that the students'scores was improved.
