Biology is a science based on experiments, biological experiment teaching in middle school is an important part of education, it can develop the students’ ability of observation, analysis and problem solving ability, experiment ability, innovation ability and scientific attitude,biology science literacy training to a large extent depends on the biological experiment teaching. Therefore, Updating the education concept, improve the cognitive level of biological experiment teaching is particularly important.This paper studied the experimental teaching in the experimental specific refers to: the inquiry experiment, demonstration experiment, verification experiment, extracurricular experiment, open experiment independently. In this paper, by using questionnaire, interviews, field visit, finding some information sampling analysis of the current situation of 12 middle schools’ experiment teaching in Dalian. The results showed that the degree of each school’s emphasis on experiment, student experiment grouping situation, the demonstration experiment out rate has been greatly improved. Also found the problems: First, the concept of biology teacher’ teaching, teaching behavior, professional quality and requirement of new has certain gap; Second, less biology experiment class; Third, leadership attention to biology experiment teaching level has been improved obviously, but laboratory technician, experimental materials, equipment or not enough; Fourth, Single biological teacher evaluation of students’ experimental model, is often the teacher through the experiment operation and observe the effect of students, and then evaluated; Fifth, few laboratories to students free open. The reasons of the situation are in many aspects: less biology class; Biology teachers’ teaching behavior and so on, should change this situation radically, strengthen the middle school biology experiment teaching, to improve the students to integrate theory with practice and hands-on ability.Aiming at the existing problems of Dalian City in biological experiment teaching, we think that should change from the following several aspects: First, according to the requirements of new curriculum, curriculum content and the characteristics of students, teachers carried out multiple types of experimental teaching and biological contest, ensure that all students can experience the process of science inquiry experiment, developing students’ practical operation ability and creation ability; Second, as a teacher, must change education idea, to attend experimental skills affter training courses, using the modern education technology to carry out the experimental teaching, adopting diversified teaching methods, really put their own role in students’ learning guide; Third, increasing the proportion of biology class; Forth, the school attaches more importance to the teaching of biological experiments, combined with the actual situation to prepare the experiment material, according to the junior middle school biology laboratory standard filled experiment instrument and equipment, optimization of experimental environment; Finally, changing the existing mode of experimental evaluation, using the evaluation method of diversification, pay attention to the experience sharing principle, so as to ensure the implementation of biological experiment class.
