British universities and normal education eventurally combained with each other though their status were different. This study expands investigation at the historical level mainly centering on"the universitisation of normal education in UK", which analyses on the social conditions, periodical characteristics, advantages and disadvantages of the universitisation of normal education in UK with the aim that it can offer some valuable suggestions for the reform and development of normal education in our contry.This study includes five parts except the preface:Part one is a historical review which brifly hackles the development of the normal education before the universitisation of normal education in UK.Part two is a cause analysis which explores the causes of the universitisation of normal education in UK from the perspectives of UK's social political and economic backgrounds, the development of education as well as the advantages of universities.Part three is an analysis of historical materials which analyses the development of the universitisation of normal education in UK including several stages such as Day Training College, Department of Education, Joint Examining Boards, Area Training Organizations, etc.Part four is about effects and reflections which discusses the advantages and the problems exsiting during the universitisation of normal education in UK.Part five is about some enlightenments from the universitisation of normal education in UK.
