Primary and secondary schools backed by enterprises started with the funding of the PRC. For 50 years and beyond, enterprises-backed education plays an essential role in our nation's 9-year basic education and has contributed a great deal to our course of education. But, the defects, with the development of the modern enterprise system, emerge gradually. And this brings serious consequence to both the enterprises and schools. All these problems bring the reformation of enterprises-backed schools under focus, inviting a wide scale of attentions. To people's relief, some of those schools have paved on ways of development unique to their own situations. However, Aershan Forestry Bureau Middle School is experiencing difficulties due to the following reasons concerning the local enterprise and governments. First, the school is located in an area economically-backward and remote from culture centers. Second, the not financially well-off enterprises and the local government are not capable to invest. The situations have not improved since the last decade. Both the enterprises and the schools are struggling for solutions. But students'education cannot afford to wait. And therefore, such a situation may cause hindrance to students'development, which is the precise question that should be resolved. I, among those students, once experienced the difficulties. And that is my motive to investigate the whole matter and raise some practical questions and offer some applicable answers, which, may, to some degree, be helpful for the forestry region's education. The research paper is a case study of Aershan Forestry Bureau Middle School. The research methods are literature analysis, interview, and on-the-spot investigations. The paper follows theories of education and school managements with the laws of enterprise managements embedded. In the paper, the history and present situations of the School are compared and the author analyses the historical background, the functions of the enterprises-backed education under the special circumstances, and the achievements the school has achieved. Furthermore, against the background of modern corporate system, how the school runs is investigated and the following problems are found: the School goes between the enterprises and the local government; the financial assistance is insufficient; the hardware lags behind students'needs; experienced teachers and students move to other schools in large numbers. Those problems should attribute to defects of enterprises-backed education under the modern corporate system, that is, the enterprises run school at the expense of their economic gains. Besides, they ignore the education for their workers. In all, enterprises-backed education poses problems to the development of both the enterprises themselves and the schools as they cannot allocate resources rationally and provide room for students'all-round development. The author suggests the following solutions for Aershan Forestry Bureau Middle School based on the theoretical analysis, the helpful experiences accumulated in and abroad and the local conditions of Aershan: the school should be administrated by government while financed by social means; based on the School, seek ways for sustainable development; Broaden the eyes of school administrator and maintain the school by uniting all possible forces.
