| There are a series of problems with the aim in our national moral education. We arefacing the fact that the students we teach have a great diversity in moral qualities. We havemet serious challenges in actual moral education. We have to take the fact intoconsideration that our aim in moral education must conform to th e properties of the juniorstage of socialism, how we can transform the rigescent model of education into a flexibleone and an enclosed type into an open one. We should give our students moral educationwith pertinence, which will reflect different levels and stages. We have to cultivatestudents'a love of being initiative, enterprising and creative to enable them to obey theregulations of social morality, behave accordingly, tell right from wrong and evaluate theirown behavior. We have to contemplate the problems mentioned above from all sides anddoing this will surely have a great impact on our practical moral education.Some practical suggestions on improving and enhancing moral education are asfollows. First, questionnaires can reflect the featu res and rules of students'cognition,combine the high and basic standards and help us set different aims in moral education inpolitics classes. Second, to achieve this goal and improve the actual effects of moraleducation, we should take the following steps. First of all, we ought to make full use of thepolitics classes, persisting in the theory of moral cultivation and service. We shouldcombine the main theme with the promotion of traditional morality and the development ofstudents'qualities. We must insist on the combination of the teaching of moral knowledgewith the training of proper conduct. We must take advantage of the flexible, individual anddiverse teaching methods of psychological education and management of education. Thenwe should give play to the moral value of some potential classes, make use ofextracurricular programs and social practice and pay attention to the influences the politicsclasses have on the construction of campus spiritual culture and the power that exampleshave. |
