Undergraduate Students' Employment Intention In Changchun City And The Relationship Between The Intention And The General Self-efficacy

This paper conducted an analysis to study the undergraduate students'intention from psychological perspective by using academic research method and the subjects are 229 undergraduate students, specifying the expected employment fields, desired employment salary and employment field, summarizing the rules of undergraduate students'intention. Meanwhile, it studied the relationship between the intention and the general self-efficacy, providing the basis for employment guide work to every college and university and undergraduate students'intention suitable for themselves.(1)Generally speaking, the higher is self-efficacy of the college students, the higher is expectation of salary they want.(2)there is no obvious difference self-efficacy among the students when they choose jobs in different regions and professions.(3)There are 47% graduators want to have jobs, 47% want to study as post graduators, 5.9% have a tendency for going aboard. From the above data, we can see that when the students in Chang Chun graduate from the college, they choose to obtain employment or go on the study as a post graduator further.(4)35.6% of university students express their employment inclination to"Southeast coastal area", 60.3% of university students incline to get a job at mediate city, and 2.7% of them choose start a career at"village and town". The data shows that ChangChun University students prefer start a career at the mediate cities which locate in Southeast coastal area, only a few university students choose get a job at village and town.(5) Teacher is the first career choice for almost half of Changchun university students.(6) Over half of Changchun university students hold the salary expectation, which is higher than actual salary level.(7)There are no obvious differences on expected employment areas among the students in liberal arts and majored in science, students of normal education and non-teacher-training orientated colleges or universities, but really obvious differences on expected employment fields. In addition, there are clear differences on expected salary between students of normal education and non-teacher-training, but no obvious difference on expected salary between the students in liberal arts and majored in science.
