Since the 18th National People's Congress in 2012,China's tourism industry has achieved remarkable results,and has become a strategic pillar industry of the national economy and a happiness industry closely related to the people.With its vigorous vitality and strong development momentum,the tourism industry provides a broad development space and a large number of jobs for tourism major students.However,the employment situation of tourism undergraduates within their own profession does not consistent with the current situation that the tourism industry drives a large number of employed people and provides plenty of jobs.The contradiction between the training of tourism talents and the market demand is prominent,showing the phenomenon of mismatch between supply and demand.Educational psychology research has found that only by the heartfelt love and recognition of the majors,can students devote themselves wholeheartedly to professional learning,exert their professional value,and devote themselves to the wave of industry development after graduation.Consequently,It can be seen that the professional identity of tourism major students has a certain influence relationship with their employment intention.However,as far as the current research is concerned,the literature on exploring the relationship between professional identity and employment intention of college tourism majors is rare,and the quality is uneven,which has not attracted the attention of relevant departments.Therefore,based on the review of the literature on professional identity and employment intention,this study takes the undergraduate students of tourism as the research object,draws on the domestic and foreign mature scales and combines the relevant characteristics of tourism education to form a questionnaire Professional Identity and Career Intention Questionnaire for Undergraduate Studenls Majoring in Tourism with good reliability and validity,and with the help of SPSS22.0,the 343 questionnaires collected were analyzed by mathematical statistics,and the following research conclusions were obtained:1.The professional qualification scale for tourism undergraduates was revised to verify the multi-dimensionality of tourism professional identity.Through empirical data analysis,it is determined that the professional identity of tourism undergraduates includes four dimensions:professional teaching,professional prospects,professional learning and professional affiliation.There are 19 indicators.2.Generally speaking,the professional identity of tourism undergraduates and the intentions of employment in the industry need to be improved.The total average scores of professional identity and employment intentions are 3.36 and 3.14 respectively,slightly higher than the critical value of 3,which is basically at a medium level.3.There is a significant difference in the professional identity and employment intention of tourism undergraduates are significantly different in terms of gender,family location,whether they are student cadres,whether they have work experience or experience in the tourism industry,professional choices and achievements.In addition,professional identity also has significant differences in grades.4.The professional identity of tourism undergraduates has a significant positive impact on employment intention.Improving the professional identity of tourism undergraduates will directly promote their employment intention.5.The main influencing factors of professional identity of tourism undergraduates are:personal factors,school factors and significant other factors,and social factors have no significant impact on it.6.Proposing to improve the professional identity of tourism undergraduates and the intention of employment in the industry.Colleges and universities should pay attention to the cultivation of students' professional identity from all aspects of the educational process,so as to enhance students' intentions in the tourism industry.Students should give full play to their subjective initiative,actively carry out professional learning,and contribute their own strength to the development of the tourism industry.Significant others should face the tourism major and play its positive guiding role.
