With the acceleration of economic globalization, China's economy faces with the situation of economic structure adjustment, industrial optimization and scientific progress at an ever increasing pace. In the process of economic reform, we are constructing international manufacturing base, impelling new industrialization, dynamically developing service industry, so we're in urgent need of high-quality, huge-quantity talented persons with technical skills, knowledgeable and compounded skills. Vocational colleges must improve the educational quality, cultivating professionals with high competency quality, proficient occupational capability and strong adaptation ability to society. Teaching area is the key part of higher vocational education quality, and curriculum is the key to teaching area. Curriculum is the bridge between macro-educational theory and micro-educational practice. Whatever kinds of educational theory, educational thoughts, educational notions and educational objectives, should be realized via curriculum. But after rapid development and expansion of higher vocational education, curriculum problems have been exposed, which has negative impacts on quality of higher vocational education. So curriculum reform of higher vocational education is pressing.Starting with the process of curriculum reform of higher vocational education, the thesis lists the problems of current curriculum, analyzes the cognitive reasons which led to the current situation, then combining with the trends of nowadays' curriculum of higher vocational education in the world, the thesis points out that the aims of curriculum reform of higher vocational education are to develop the vocational capabilities and comprehensive development of educatees, and to meet the demands of society development and enterprises employment; curriculum reform of higher vocational education should follow the principles like comprehensive educating, subject respecting, professional adapting and synthesized assorting. Finally, aiming at the problems of current curriculum, the research proposes the recommendations of updating curriculum notions, optimizing curriculum objectives, adjusting curriculum structures and reforming curriculum contents, so as to play a role in the practice of curriculum reform, and be improved in the future.
