With the deepening of education reform, the problem of teachers' professional development has gradually become an international hot topic, and its importance has been attached by many countries. It's also a topic of great theoretical significance put forward by the current practice of education reform. The continuous development of modern network information technology provides a favorable technical support for teachers' professional development. To explore the issue and realization ways of teacher professional development in informationalized environment has been become a hot issue of education and research. Platform for teachers' professional development in Network Environment can provide teachers with good development space. Teachers' "self-directed" is an effective way of the professional development of teachers. Teachers' self-directed professional development requires teachers' active learning, self-reflection, cooperation and communication.The arrival of Web 2.0 era, represented by Blog, RSS, Tag, SNS, Trackback, has added a new way of realization for teachers' self-directed professional development. It is of important practical significance to research the Web2.0 based platform for teachers' self-directed professional development and explore its function and technical realization in improving individual self-study and the forming of teachers' learning community and then promoting teachers' professional level, etc.The paper focused on teachers' self-directed professional development in Web2.0 environment.Therefore, the paper sorted out the theory of teachers' self-directed professional development and other relative theories, and at the same time analyzed the status of platform for teachers' professional development at home and abroad, to clear the theoretical basis and major problem of this study. Then the paper briefly introduced the concept and features of Web2.0, and analyzed its significance for teachers' self-directed professional development, and constructed a model of teachers' self-directed professional development based on Web2.0, and systematically designed the functional module of the platform to be realized. At last, the platform for teachers' self-directed professional development was partly realized.
