Research Of Master Graduate Cultivation Mode Reformation And Practice For Engineering Course In China

With the fast increasing of master graduate students in recent years and the change of personnel supply and demand structure in the society, there has been the inconsistency between the request for masters by society and the master graduate cultivation in Chinese universities. More professional personnel are needed, but for the long time, the master graduates have been cultivated for the researched personnel. So we must reform the master graduate cultivation. To cultivate most professional personnel is the main object of master graduate education, and a little of them for researched personnel is enough. Also we should cultivate in the different way for the two parts of master graduates. Based on the human cultivation mode, the dissertation divides the cultivation mode into three parts that are cultivation purpose, cultivation course and cultivation assessment. The analysis has the adequate consideration of the character of master education and keeps the full-time specification engineering master as the object.The theory expatiation and the case demonstration are the main method and it links the theory and the case. It introduces the condition of master education in MIT and Stanford universities, which gives the reference to our country education. Having analyzed the character of our society, the necessity of changing the cultivation purpose is given. And the research-oriented and the profession-oriented purpose are the main two cultivation purpose, according which, we cultivate the master graduates respectively. And it gives the suggestions of the cultivation course and the cultivation assessment relatively. Then, we put that theory in the practice of HIT with the consideration of the graduate education character of HIT. At last, it gives the suggestion of the cultivation mode reformation in our country.The main innovation of this dissertation is that it keeps the full-time master as the object and set different cultivation modes according the two kinds of cultivation purpose, which has the important signification to improve the efficiency and quality. Also it enhances the value of master to the society. The content of this dissertation is initiation in our country and it will have the active effect on the education of master graduate, meanwhile, it will perfect the system of the cultivation mode of master graduate.
