Self-worth is an overwhelmingly influential aspect for people's cognition, emotion and behavior of individuality. In the process of teaching Track and Field, it can not only influence students'interpersonal relationship, psychological health and personality development but also play an important role in improving students'vocational achievement and optimizing teaching quality.(1) The overall level of students majoring in Track and Field is higher than the national norm. Among them, the overall self-worth and the general self-worth of individuality and the self-worth of the social orientation of psychology, physical and family have obvious latitude manifestation with the level of the self-worth of interpersonal relationship alone slightly lower than the national norm.(2) Viewing from the point of gender, the level of the self-worth of male students majoring in Track and Field, taken as a whole, is lower than that of the female students, especially the level of the self-worth of individual morality. Compared in the same grade, it is also proved to be true while the levels of the general self-worth of individuality and the social-family self-worth of students in grade 4 differ especially sharply with that of the female students. It can be concluded that gender can influence the self-worth.(3) The self-worth of students majoring in Track and Field changes little as the change of the grades, with the level of the social-family self-worth of the students in grade 2 being a little latitudinally higher than that of the other two grades and being sharply different with that of students in grade 3 while the others are kept in the same level. All these show that the grade hardly affects the self-worth of individuality.(4) There is no great difference between students majoring in Track and Field and in basketball, only some small latitudinal ones existing among different grades. And some clear latitudinal distinctions are shown in the aspects of the general self-worth, the self-worth of individuality, the self-worth of interpersonal relationship, the social-family self-worth and the self-worth of individual morality when compared with students majoring in aerobics, which tells it might be related with the characters of different items.(5) The main influential factors to the self-worth of students majoring in Track and Field include comprehensive study achievement, individual health condition, employment, family construction, economic condition and training life etc., which have some great influence on the conformation and development of the self-worth of students majoring in Track and Field.
