With the arrival of the information era, information literacy education has caused more and more attention from around the world. On September, 2003, the United Nations Information Literacy experts issued the "Prague Declaration: go to an information literacy society." This meeting has announced that information literacy is a life-long learning basic human right. Information literacy is becoming an important factor in the whole society, a global policy to promote human development , a prerequisite for the people to join the information society.Information literacy and curriculum integration, inquiry learning and resource-based learning are the main ways to train students'information literacy. Among these three, inquiry learning is a more agreeable new mode of instruction, teaching mode in recent years and actively implemented in the international society since the 1980s when we face the challenges of a knowledge-based economy .It's also an important innovation in China, and there is a close relationship between inquiry learning and information literacy training. However, in actual teaching, inquiry learning and information literacy training is often fragmented. So, here we have special emphasis on the strategies of training information literacy in inquiry learning.This thesis can be divided into the following parts:The first part is to examine the theoretical research on the analysis of the major contents, features and implementation of inquiry learning.The second part is the theoretical research on the information literacy, so it mainly analyzes the definition and contents of information literacy. The third part is to examine the relationship between inquiry learning and information literacy, and it also study the macro-and micro-strategies on the information literacy training in the inquiry learning.This thesis mainly analyzes the strategies of training information literacy in inquiry learning. This study will help to improve the students'information literacy , so that students are better adapted to the development requirements of the information age. But it is also a project, which calls for the concerted efforts and supports of the whole society.
