A Research On The Development Strategies Of Normal Colleges And Universities In China

Normal college and university are the carrier and platform of implementing teacher education. Over the years, normal colleges and universities have trained a large number of teachers for the basic education, and have made tremendous contributions for the development of the cause of the whole national education. In the great tide of the educational reform, normal colleges and universities in China will be faced with the plight of the development and usher in a rare developing opportunity. Normal colleges and universities can seize the opportunity to determine the direction of reform and development, form characteristics and advantages and make a reasonable strategic choice of the future development or not, will be directly related to the survival and development of their own.The main body of this thesis can be divided into three parts.Chapter one, mainly reviewed the history of the development of Chinese teacher education. This part briefly reviewed the 100-year course of Chinese teacher education with history and literature.Chapter two, mainly analyzed the background factors of the current development of normal colleges and universities in China, namely the establishment of a market economy system and market allocation of human resources, the popularization of higher education, improving the quality of higher education, the needs of high-quality teachers to the basic education, free education policy to the students of normal colleges and universities, at the same time had a specific and detailed observation to the state of development of normal colleges and universities in reality , and noted the major problems what are normal colleges and universities facing with.Chapter three, on the premise and foundation of the present problems, described the principles which would be made for the development strategies of normal colleges and universities in China, namely the principle which would be ahead of development, the principle of strengthening school characteristics, the principle of system optimization and the principle which would be actively adapt to; as well as the objectives of development strategies and the development strategies of normal colleges and universities in China, namely normal colleges and universities should be clear for the developing orientation, strengthen school characteristics, improve the quality of education, strengthen the teaching of practice, integrate the pre-education and the post-training and expand the space of development.
