Mind Mapping & reg is a kind of emerging thought tool, and also is one kind of extremely highly effective management system of information. It makes people's thoughts from the neat but complicated writing expression liberated, pays great attention to the connection between each item of things in the expression, so it causes the thought visible and visualized. Now, Mind Mapping & reg has the widespread application in all the various trades and occupations. Fully understood its application in the education domain, it may effectively enhance our teaching efficiency.Mind map now is a teaching and studying strategy that is prevailing abroad, especially in the European and American countries. It is very common to do research on the mind map abroad which has become a very often-used teaching method in the primary schools of the western countries. And the researching workers have got a very good result for the application of the mind map.In our country, the applying research of the mind map in the teaching field has been just begun. Most of research is the bringing in and introducing process and the applying research of the mind map in the geography teaching of senior middle schools is almost blank.The main purpose of this research is to bring in the mind map in geography teaching process of senior schools, study the form and method of the application of the mind map in the geography teaching of senior schools, explore the scientific drawing methods and evaluation measures of concept map, and find the effects of the concept map on the geography teaching of middle schools.The content of this research has the following aspects: (1) introduction of concerned knowledge of the mind map and the researching situation at home and abroad; (2) study of the applying field of mind map teaching strategy in the senior middle schools; (3) study of drawing methods and evaluation measures of the mind map; (4) analysis and study of the effects of the mind map on the geography teaching of middle schools by experiment and investigation.The main fruits of this research are as follows: (1) Bring in successfully the mind map teaching strategy in the geography teaching of the senior middle schools and enrich the teaching methods and evaluation means. (2) The adoption of the concept map professional picture-drawing software, especially mindmanger professional picture-drawing software, promotes the connection of geography teaching and modern educational technology. (3)Make the evaluating diagrams that in accordance with the features of senior middle school geography according to concerned research, which makes the evaluation of geography mind map more scientific. According to the experiment and investigation, the bringing in the mind map in geography teaching of senior middle schools can promote the geography teaching, improve the teaching achievement, develop the ability of the students and promote the development and improvement of students'making.I only make some beneficial exploration of the applying strategy research of the mind map in the geography teaching of senior middle schools. Mind map teaching is a new teaching method and teaching model, which has great value and potential. The educational workers should explore, consummate and develop the mind map constantly.
