Each field of our nation is undergoing dramatic changes. Only children are enjoying a care-free and peaceful life. Great importance is attached to the ideological and moral education of teenagers. Under these new circumstances, how should schools update their educational ideology and satisfy the psychological needs of teenagers? This problem deserves the full attention of each educator. At present, the reform and development of our country is experiencing a critical moment. Profound changes have taken place in our society. There are ideological contradictions at both national and international levels. What's more, there exists the ideological and cultural penetration by international hostile parties. All this has a great impact on teenagers' view of the world, life and value. As a result, negative ideas among teenagers, such as individualism, money-worship, hedonism etc., are on the rise. The physical, mental and ideological conditions of 367,000,000 teenagers have a close link with the future of our country. School education has a long way to go. When knowledge education has made one breakthrough after another, moral education is far from being satisfactory. In high schools which lay extreme emphasis on college admission rate, moral education is ignored to a great extent, as long as everything is "all right". Having been engaged in moral education for many years, the author feels that, to maintain its vitality, a school should not only emphasize the book knowledge, but also has to ensure the physical and mental health of all the teachers and students. Modern educational ideas are paying more and more attention to the development of teenagers' personality and character. A sound personality is based on a healthy mind. Only those who are mentally healthy could have a sound personality. Therefore, there are many problems to deal with. How can we balance students' social needs and personal needs? How can we lay a solid foundation for students' future development? How can we make sure that high school life will be valued and treasured by students after they graduate? In the author's opinion, educators should first focus on students' physical and mental health, and then combine moral education with psychological education. Cultivating students, who are physically and mentally healthy and who have a sound personality should be a long-term policy.
