The Necessity And Approaches Of Environment Education In Vocational School

Content: Environmental protection is our basic national policy .Environment education is the most important issue in the 21st century .By means of observation, consulting data ,and questionnaire ,the writer carries out a research into the relevant problems on environment education in vocational school chemistry teaching .The result of the research shows that the science of chemistry has much in common with the science of environment and they are quite relevant to each other. Developing environment education in chemistry teaching enables students to realize the occurrence, dangers and the prevention and cure measures of various kinds of environmental pollution. It helps to cultivate the students'proper environmental value and the value of durable development. Therefore, environment education in vocational school chemistry teaching is necessary and practicable.There are four sections in this paper. Section one covers the introduction of the chemistry and the environmental problems , the relation between chemistry teaching and environment education, and the necessity and the feasibility of environment education in vocational school. Section two elaborates the principles of environment education and introduces the approaches of environment education in vocational school. The ways of carrying out environment education in chemistry teaching by means of classroom teaching, experiments and extracurricular activities are also described. Section three presents the achievements, problems and possible solutions based on the survey. Section four shows us the writer's teaching practice.
