A Study On Status Quo And Suggestions Of Career Management Guidance For College Students

In recent years, college students'employment opportunities have become very competitive because of the changes in college graduates'employment situations. Thus professional career management guidance for college students is extremely important to help students to understand the society and to set up correct professional view in order to achieve a bright future. We cannot ignore that professional career management does help the development of colleges and the progress of the society. Therefore it is an important task of colleges and government to provide professional career management guidance for college students.Starting with the professional career management theories and the present situation of professional career management guidance, this paper elaborates the present situation of the professional career management guidance in our country. It focuses on the problems, such as not yet popularizing the concept of professional career management, too many emphasizes on short-term benefit, stressing learning theories but lacking practice, emphasizing employment guidance but overlooking enterprising spirit training, raising deviation in career options, career plans too far away from execution, career programs lacking correction, lacking professional guidance people and etc.From the aspects of the management, the employment system and the students, the paper tried to analyze the social and historical reasons which caused the problems of the professional career management guidance for college students. And taking Fujian colleges and Fujian human resource markets as examples, the paper makes some suggestions for promoting the professional career program and relevant guidance for college students, which included changing ideas, increasing course input, combining with the quality extension, insisting on all-around, personalized guidance. In the end, the paper puts forward that in order to guarantee the professional career management guidance for college students to go on smoothly, the establishment and the execution of specialized public policies need to be reinforced by the government.
