Study On The Relationship Between Child-Bearing Desirean And Old-Age Care Of Western Rural Areas

This research takes the person in rural aereas of Lintao County, Gansu province as the research object, and mainly takes the sociological theory as the support, then uses the research method of questionnaire survey, case interview, literature to analyze and discuss the overall and every factor level of the relationship between child-bearing desire and old-age care of western rural areas. On the basis of the above, it proposed some corresponding countermeasures. The text is divided into four parts:The first part , the study tries to look for the current lack to this field and find the content of this study by the literature review of previous studies.Then, the text describes the purpose and significance , research methods, theoretical basis, important concept of this study.The second part, the researcher proposes this research's design including theory basis, the research's hypothesis, the research's route, the research's method and so on.The third part, through the analysis of survey data,the study finds people in the western rural society consider old-age care, preferred family size,favoring males very much about their child-bearing desire.Then,the study get a conclusion that there is a causal relationship between child-bearing desire and old-age care, old-age care is reason and child-bearing desire is result.Old-age care, about the life of older people,a important factor, affect people's child-bearing desire, fertility behaviour, the number of children, gender preference.The forth part, through data analysis, the researcher find the relationship between child-bearing desire and old-age care have changed,favoring males have showed a downward trend,the purpose of the fertility have changed, the proportion of the old-age care have declined,preferred children size have decreased,aging of population become faster, the per pension burden has been heaved.Furthermore, through a series of relationship analysis, the study show that there are a lot of factors affect the relationship between child-bearing desire and old-age care,such as social security status of the old people, economic situation, China's traditional culture, national fertility policy, education, modernization and globalization. On the basis of the above,the researcher want to find the root of old-age care of western rural areas.The fifth part,for these related factors of the relationship between child-bearing desire and old-age care, in order to solve the old-age care of rural area effectively ,the author adopt the following policy recommendations: establish the rural old-age security system on the realities; promote economic development in rural areas; promot rapid educational development in rural areas;transfer the rural family planning from "Control" to "governance".
