The fast development in information technology (IT) brings us both new challenges and opportunities in education. In addition to the traditional publishing and broadcasting media, the means people acquire information now become much more diversified: among books, newspapers, telephone, and movies, huge amount of information circulates around in multimedia including text, audio, still images, animation, video, and interactivity content forms. The traditional education module dominant with repetitive preaching, admonition and inculcation pales a lot next to the transparency, immediacy, and diversity of information exchange through Internet. How to deal with the challenges and opportunities arising in the context of IT revolution? How to improve the timeliness and efficiency and in the transition from a closed status to openness and from a traditional approach to a modern strategy? These are the hot topics that the educators face in elementary schools. The essay starts from the moral education in elementary school, and focuses on the adaptability of moral education module under the IT environment. There are six sections, including moral education principles in elementary schools, various new strategies involved in moral education, innovative school-parents communication, and result validation. The essay analyzes the challenges moral education faces under the IT environment and the advantageous opportunities thus provided. The conditions and forms of new moral education modules under the IT environment are also explored. More specifically, the essay emphasizes on exhaustively analyzing the new modules, and investigates the roles of "moral education via the IT" and "the school-parents communication with IT" - school websites, forums, class blogs, QQ video, telephone and instant messages. These new modules are expected to speed up the adaptation of moral education in school and parents' cooperation at home under the IT environment, and to promote the students' growth. The proposal presented here might be limited by personal experience and work scope, but I hope it applicable and inspiring to other educators in a similar environment.
