Research On University Power Structure Based On The Stakeholder Theory

University increasingly goes from the margins of society to the center of it, features of university to serve the community are more prominent. As a result, university is now gradually become a common social institution which is influenced by a large number of stakeholders . Especially , today's China education entering the stage of mass education, people make investments into education, at the same time, they are making more higher expectations and demands of university. In other words, the University is a stakeholder organization. Stakeholders of university can be divided into the core stakeholders, the important stakeholders and the edge of stakeholders on three levels. Stakeholders of university have been in the game. In order to safeguard the interests of all parties related to the interests of university , we should properly arrange the power structure of university. The power structure of university, by its very nature, is the distribution of the power of university from all walks of life and interests of different groups , as well as their mutual relations between the role of power. University as an organization, there are many factors which impact on the organizational structure, however, the organizational structure of the allocation of power as one of the factors ,is the most direct impact on the nature, the organizational structure also is the end result of the configuration of power. So it is pretty important to researsh on the university of power and its structure .This article tries to divide the power of university into three parts: executive power, academic power and the third-party power, then make recommendations for power configuration of it.The article is followed by this logic of thinking: put forward problems- analysis of the problems - solve the problems. The first part (Introduction),it introduce the problem, the purpose of the study, the significance of domestic , foreign-related research ,research ideas and methods.This chapter is summed up the general thesis. The second part is related to the theoretical foundation and establishes the types of power of university. First of all ,it introduces the theory of stakeholders, the theory of higher education as well as the theory of law and administrative, and then to define the meaning of the university power. At last ,it points that university is a stakeholder organization, and classifies the power of university from the stakeholders perspective of the theory . The third part studies the power structure of our university. First of all, it elaborates the historical evolution about the power structure of our university , and then on that basis ,put forward existing problems of power structure in the university. The fourth part , it uses expert analysis to detailed analysize the main power of university . Including the analysis of the evidence and all of the main power utility function analysis. Partâ…¤is a part of the conclusion which put forward suggestions to promote the power structure of university.Of course, to meet the needs of all stakeholders, and get its maximum is not realistic. University can only according to its capability, overall, and strive to achieve an ideal "Pareto optimal" state. This requires the university must deal well with the interests of a part and the interests of another part, the long-term interests and short-term interests ,the local interests and the interests of the overall relationship to get dynamic balance between the interests of the principal. So,we should form the checks and balances of power, optimize the power structure of university . The article proposed by the way: on the macro from a legal, moral and authority to optimize the power configuration of university ; from the micro to enhance academic power, protect the power of students and highlights the power of the third party at the university to form the checks and balances of university power..
