Research On Current Status Of Career Plateau Of Counselors In Vocational Institutions

Career Plateau is the commonly occurring phase among teachers, which is particularly obvious among the group of counselors in vocational institutions. In response to"Proposals on Further Strengthening and Improving College Students'Ideological and Political Education"from the central government, it is highly significant both theoretically and practically to form a qualified group of counselors with the property of"proficient in politics, accomplished in profession, decent in style, and outstanding in quality"by analyzing the reasons resulting in career Plateau, and proposing strategies overcoming career plateau in the group of counselorsBased on the discussion of literary review, this paper studies the current status of career plateau among counselors in vocational institutes, figures out the reasons of the problems and proposes the corresponding measures by adopting the form of questionnaires. This paper is for the purpose of making administrators of vocational institutes understand the subjective notion the counselors and therefore accelerate the work of serving the counselors and improving the satisfaction and effect in their work, helping the counselors come out of or even eliminate their career plateau and therefore strengthen their working effectiveness to make high- quality achievement through both personal effort and the effort from the institution.This paper adopts SPSS13.0 as the instrument of analysis, involving descriptive statistical analysis, and correlatoinal analysis. It mainly includes the descriptive statistical analysis of the variable of personal background, analysis of the types of the career plateau, the correlation between the variable of personal background and the career plateau, the analysis of the degree of satisfaction on the influencing elements, and the effect of career plateau on the degree of satisfaction of the influencing elements.According to the current status of the career plateau among the counselors and the degree of satisfaction on the influencing elements, the following strategies are proposed:making the clear arrangement of the professional career for the counselors,building the promoting systems,concerned with the psychological health of counselors and some personal countermeasures.
