| Occupational adaptation, one important aspect of social adaptations, means the harmonious state among occupational psychology, occupational ability, occupational relationship etc. and occupational labors with their environment, taken form and maintained in the direction of active occupational values. While the adaptation of new teachers refers to a changing process in which newly-graduated teachers swiftly make adjustments to the teaching post, educational work, new surroundings and social relationships, accomplishing the character transform from students to teachers by using the theories and skills learned in the college, which is also an important part of the professional development of teachers.For new teachers, occupational adaptation, as the core of social adaptations, can not only supply them with financial support but a good opportunity to learn and observe the team rules so that they can well integrate into the society. As a result, higher occupational adaptability can strengthen one's occupational stability. On the contrary, occupational inadaptability brings about physically exhaustion as well as fatigue in cognition, mood and behavior, even causes other psychological problems, intensifies interpersonal conflicts and cuts down the motivation to work; For schools, it leads to negative influences, such as declination of working level, loss of professional ethics, and a brain drain; For students, they may be treated coldly and indifferently by the new teachers who have a poor occupational adaptation so that it is difficult for them to gain high-quality education. Therefore, helping new teachers improve their occupational adaptability can not only urge them to transform theory to practice, and knowledge to ability, but shorten the period to be qualified teachers from normal university graduates, helping schools pool reserve human resources, thus eventually realize the sustainable development of the school.This thesis focuses on the new teachers from JS, ZJ province as samples of the study, carries out an investigation on their current occupational adaptability, reveals the problem and analyzes its cause. In addition, it puts forward some measures and suggestions on how to improve the occupational adaptability of new teachers, based on three aspects of individual, school faculty management and local educational administrative department. |
