The population aging has already become one of the main social problems that the whole world has paid close attention to. The rural aging population problem is outstanding day by day. The setting-up of social security system will exert a certain influence on the idea which will change the mode of urban and rural residents to support their parents, especially for the population in rural areas. It is said in Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference insurance research report that the rural social insurance is a great project for peasant's benefits and its importance are not second to the family planning of China. If the family planning solves the Chinese populous problem, the settlement of the future population issue will rely on the social security, especially in the course of the transition of planned economy to market economy and the course of aging population.Because the change of family structure and family function, the opinion of urban and rural residents support parents is also changing. The investigation indicates that the old-aged person tends to be the family supports parents, while the middle-aged person has already begun to go out of the circle of "raises sons to support one in one's old age", the traditional consciousness still exists in some peasants, it conflict with state plan child-bearing policy. The opinion of reproduction can change in rural areas. Through the practice of more than ten years, our country successively formed the typical mode. The results show that the child-bearing policy has controlled population growth effectively. On one hand it is restricted by a lot of objective factors about history and reality, on the other hand it is closely related to special environment in the countryside, the discrepancy of economic development level and the insufficient devotion of government on social security.The main view and chapter structure are as follows:Chapter one: introduction. This part state the background, meaning and main content of the thesis, and review the research reports and results of some scholars in the field. Finally, the important concepts appearing in the thesis are defined and the research approach and innovation of the thesis are introduced.Chapter two: the characteristic of social security system. The historical background and the reason of social security system produced are analyzed. The development of market economy promotes the development of social productivity which provides the material foundation of social security. The theoretical foundation including the western and socialist social security theories and the function of social security system are also described.Chapter three: the change of opinion of reproduction. The part introduces the contents of opinion of reproduction and the social economic background of rural traditional opinions, discusses the connection between the rural traditional reproduction idea and under-developed economy and productivity.Chapter four: the comparison of the social security system in urban and rural areas. The mode, administration and level of social security system in urban and rural areas are stated. The reasons of the discrepancy of social security system in urban and rural areas are analyzed. Finally, the difference of reproduction opinion of residents in urban and rural are depicted, and the restriction factors of the change of reproduction opinion are discussed.Chapter five: the influence of the rural social security construction on the change of reproduction opinion. This part explains the necessity and the significance of the rural social security system and discusses its influence on the change of countryside residents'reproduction ideas.Chapter six: the old age social security system promotes the opinion of reproduction to change in rural areas. This part explained the main content of"wide to cover, low-level"rural social security institutional improvement.Chapter seven: conclusion. This part summarized the contents of the thesis and proposed some constructive measures.
