Leisure Education On College Students

Leisure means the various activities which take places in one's discretionary time and leisure time exclusive of work time,commute time,household time and rest time.The nature of leisure is liberal,individual and autonomous.For college students,leisure refers to the life state and discretionary time exclusive of the school hours and the time to satisfy the need of physiological.The college students are now at a key stage of the development of body and mind,and the formation of outlook on morality,life and value.A large amount of leisure time is a two-sided sword which can be both beneficial and harmful to the health of college students'body and mind.The healthy leisure activities can promote the life quality,their nature of characteristics,and the capability of their innovation.On the contrary,the vulgar,passive leisure activities can arouse antisocial personality,and crime.Hence,it is significant to pilot the college students to take good advantage of leisure time,and improve the quality of leisure life.The main stream leisure life is healthy nowadays,though there are problems in few aspects.From the viewpoint of style and content of leisure life,online game and chatting achieved the first position in their leisure life and meanwhile,it arouses the problem of internet addiction and disorder.From the viewpoint of quality of leisure life,the level of leisure life is vulgar,passive and entertainment. The research on leisure education is of long standing without a clear definition on leisure education.In this thesis,the author defines leisure education as the education activities which lead the students to form the habit and techniques of taking good advantage of leisure time,and foster their hobbies and talent to promote the all round development of their quality.With the influence on the traditional culture and education value of utilitarianism,the leisure education of college students does not drawn great attention in China without scientific leading mechanism.China is now under a new period of social transformation with the great impact of economic globalization,social change,network,massification of higher education and knowledge economy on higher education.Thus it challenges the leisure education,no matter for idea,content,style and approach.Under such background,it is also a great challenge for our educators to promote the quality of leisure life. First and foremost,it is necessary to set scientific guidance principles:leading principle,objective principle,persuasive principle,scientific principle and open principle. Then,it needs to deals with several main links.First,we muststrengthen the realization the importance of leisure education;Second,we should accelerate the plan and construction of leisure curriculum,and perfect the leisure education curriculum.Third,we should optimize the content of leisure education and foster the scientific leisure value,skills and habits.Forth,we should enhance the normal training of leisure education,optimize the leisure cultural construction , connect the school,community,and family,and realize the network of education.
