Since"Basic Education Curriculum Reform Outline(Pilot)"issued by the Ministry of Education in June,2001,the basic education curriculum reform has become a focus of a great number of educators."Standard for P.E and Health Course"attracts attention from the field of physical education,many experts and scholars have conducted a sustained and extensive study on the objective,content and the implementation of the new course. In 2008, Shandong province became the first to practice quality education, and this provides a good running environment for the reform of the course of sports and heath. As the demonstration for the quality education reform, the investigation of the current situation of implementation of the course of sports and health in High school by Weifang city can promote not only the good operation of the new curriculum reform.in Sports course but also the sustainable development of quality education. It also has reference meaning to Shandong province the whole.This thesis devotes to the investigation of the current situation of implementation of"Sports and Health Course Standard"in 18 high school in Weifang by means of literature consultation, mathematical statistics, comparative analysis etc. The results showed that the implementation of the new course standard in Sports are not effective. The Education Department of Weifang city has a positive attitude, issuing a series of files and plans. It is revealed in the investigation that about 64.3% school leaders don't pay much attention to it. Teachers and students can understand the new course standard, but the situation of implementation is not optimistic. The implementation effect in different school varies a lot, the qualified teaching stuff are balanced, hardware facilities such as place and equipment are on the whole good, the difference between emphasis and general is great. There is good teaching staff, but the scientific research consciousness and the training of teachers are weak. Under the examination-oriented education system, many schools only pay attention to the enrollment rate, ignoring the quality education of the students. With"Sports and Health"became the appointed subject of University entrance exams, in-classroom sports and sports outside the classroom changed a lot.
