The lack of teachers'practical ability has become more and more obvious since the connections between polytechnic schools and enterprises get closer. The common ways to improve teacher's practical ability are mainstay teacher training and teachers'enterprise practice. These two ways are good and have already obtained some results, but the number of the involved teachers is too small. In order to solve the problem, this paper suggests adding professional practical training to orientation training of new teachers in higher polytechnic schools. This suggestion has two advantages. One is to increase the number of the involved teachers and the other is to bring the time of practical ability training forward.Based on teacher qualification standards of foreign polytechnic schools and the experience of Shanghai Second Polytechnic University, this paper chooses the new teachers of mould major of X polytechnic school as the research object and Yuxin Motivity Co, Ltd., as the learning environment. This paper combines training needs analysis and instructional design together to design the whole frame of the training program. Meanwhile, this paper uses Dick & Carey Model to design one of the training parts.This paper's innovation is to creatively add professional practical training to orientation training of higher polytechnic schools, which can make orientation training more varied.
