Information integration in English teaching and learning requires that we should make full use of the possible information resources to reform teaching and learning methods by cultivating students' capacity of exploration, practice, reflection, integrating and eventually achieving greater learning efficiency. This requires that teachers use information technology and information resources in teaching and that students use information technology and information resources in researching and learning. So the teacher's role has transferred from teaching language to a designer and guide in the students' autonomous learning. Students' high-quality information literacy, positive learning affection as well as reasonable learning strategies are the foundation on which they can get information, integrate information, and improve their abilities of automatic learning as well as language competence. It is also the key to developing their learning efficiency and the requirement of curriculum reforming. In this sense, we can see that information integration in senior high school teaching is a new trial based on the advanced teaching ideal, whose aim is to cultivate the students' integrative capacity and promote students' autonomous development in language acquisition.Having addressed the research significance and the present situation of the research both at home and abroad, this thesis, guided by the theory of comprehensible output hypothesis, explores into the relations between task-based teaching, automatic learning, cooperative learning and the application of these teaching-learning modes in information integration in senior high school English teaching. On the basis of empirical studies like data analysis and questionnaires on students' information literacy , language competence, learning affection and learning attitudes etc., the thesis has constructed a basic theory framework for English information integration in high school English teaching. In addition, it has expounded in detail the characteristics, application strategies and approaches. By analyzing the statistics of these data and questionnaires, we find that students with better information literacy and a good foundation of English perform better in searching English information through different sources. They are more conscious of language learning, and are more capable of learning the language, thus having higher grades. Actually, cultivating the students' capacity of English information integration means upgrading their learning ability and improving their learning efficiency. And the author's experiment has shown that it is feasible and effective to cultivate senior high school students' ability of integrating English information in English teaching.The innovation of the paper, if any, is that it aims to meet the requirements and ideals of the new course description. This research includes improving the students' language learning and application, upgrading the capacity of language information integration as one of the objectives of English teaching. It has also probed into the basis of the theory foundation, specific implementation and practical significance of English information integration in senior high school teaching.
