Moodle is the learning theory based on the social constructivism, which is specially applied by most teachers in the information environment to design, manage, conduct, and evaluate course program and learning management system for their own course program and teaching. This Moodle is free and open source code software. At present, there are 175 countries and areas applying Moodle as the platform which can support their main autonomous and leading learning mode, which lead to extensive use and increasingly larger user group.This article, firstly, introduces the characteristics of the leading learning mode, theoretically analyzes the relationship between Moodle and theories for teaching design and social constructivism and among the theories for social constructivism, and proposes the designing principle for internet courses. Secondly, approaches to the construction method of leading learning platform based on free software, Moodle. And then, construct computer image processing and internet experimental course program and its experimental teaching based on on-line leading learning mode. Later on, confirm experimental group and counterpart to conduct the test and verify the practicability and effectiveness of the leading learning mode in the use of the college computer experimental teaching in processing images so as to provide proofs for promoting the extensive use of the mode in college experimental teaching practice. Lastly, demonstrates the effective result of the mode in stimulating students' interest and achievement in their course of computer image processing.This article proposed the following suggestions in terms with greatest effects of the leading teaching based the Moodle platform:(1).Traditional class teaching cannot be abandoned completely, although application of the leading learning based on Moodle platform are effective.(2).Users should actively participate in promoting this new teaching so that this open source software can spread extensively.(3).The learning resources should be attached the same importance as the learning process.(4).Moodle can not be used blindly in the teaching, because it is not appropriate to the class teaching but assisting teaching.(5).Moodle can be developed further. The platform whose effectiveness can be further strengthened if teachers use it together should be constructed together and specially managed.
