In recent years, the rapid development of modern information technology bring new challenge and opportunity to Chinese teaching of middle school. The futurists think unanimously, in the information-intensive society , a large number of workforces are engaged in dealing with and producing the informationof different forms . The ability to do computer reading, writing and the ability to use the network equipment is more important than the traditional reading and writing. In the face of the challenge, traditional writing teaching needs reorientating both in nature and funcition. This means that traditional teaching idea needs improving, the traditional teaching mode needs improvement, the educational research approach should be upgraded in good time too.And on the other hand, the modern information technology taking multimedia and network as the core has offered the perfect material platform and ideal teaching environment for transition of writing teaching. To problems such as low interest in writing teaching , lack of true feeling, a thousand documents and one sides. it also offers a new solution. Web-based composition teaching is just produced among this era. It is the combination of information technology and Chinese teaching. It is an efforts the researchers made in solving the long-standing problems in Chinese composition teaching.This text is divided into three major parts, the first serves as the introduction to relevant backgrounds.It is mainly about the current situation and request of the reform in education. Then it points out the signficance of studying network composition teaching, which lies mainly in meeting the request for education in information age. Finally comes the definitions of comosition teaching and network composition teaching, stating out the object and range of this thesis.A comparison between traditional composition teaching and network composition teaching is made before the aims of network composition is stated out together with the characteristics of information technology.The second part Probes into the mode of web-based composition teaching under the requirement of both composition and network. The teaching mode is a focal point of the educational reform experiment at present, the composition teaching mode is mainly reflected through the teaching structure of the composition , which involve teaching and design. This part combines my research, aiming to reflect the basic state of web-based composition teaching at present in an all-round way. The third part is the thinking into the existing problems in web-based composition teaching at present.It is mainly about the deficiency of my study and the puzzlement produced in the study.In spite of all these,the prospect of natural web-based composition teaching is promising.
