Chinese corporations are in urgent need of high quality human resource while the economical globalization keeps deepening and China's industrial structure keeps upgrading. However,the vocational education is currently incapable to provide sufficient well-trained workers demanded by the Chinese corporations.Vocational education in China nowadays is facing this challenge and need to be significantly reformed.The middle-level vocational education should accomplish the mission of training talented technicians,and teachers of vocational schools are the main force to accomplish it.Therefore,how to arouse enthusiasm of vocational school teachers are very important issues of vocational education in China.This research focuses on the incentive problems of vocational school faculty from three levels,e.g.,macroscopic level-the incentives from government administration,intermediate level-the incentives from the management of affiliated school,and the microscopic level-the incentives provided by the faculty themselves.By directly surveying and interviewing a sample of vocational school faculty,this study can verify and provide empirical evidence to illustrate the incentive problems of vocational school faculty.We propose that the essence of incentive is goal internalization from organization level to individual level based on the interview and survey results,the management by objectives as well as the Marxism theory of human nature.This study also focuses on aim acceptability.Moreover,we propose a mode of goal-alignment incentive and go on to propose five incentive strategies:the bi-directional goal-guidance strategy,the interest community strategy,the role management strategy,the culture error correction strategy,and active attribution training strategy.Finally,in dealing with the incentive problems existing in the three levels discussed before,this thesis provides effective mechanisms to promote the incentives of vocational school faculty.
