Research On The Development Of Higher Vocational Education In Modern China

With the promotion of the popularization of the higher education in our country, higher vocational education is correspondingly rapidly developed, fostering vast multitudes of high-caliber applied talents for the society. The rapid development of higher vocational education boosts the educational structural adjustment of strategies, and improves the labors quality and meanwhile boosts the development of economy. Great achievements have been made in higher vocational education, however, higher vocational education has merely been limited to junior lever, not being in accordance with the development of the society and economy, and a good many problems have been arising day by day in the process of educational systematic reform. Hence, it is urgent that we should focus our attention on how to develop higher vocational education in a sound and stepwise way.A combination of documentary method and interviewing method is adopted in this article. The very core of the standpoint of this article is that based on the development history, existing problems in higher vocational education as well as the achievements it has made are listed. Considering these, we should, via macro-control, make clear the orientation of running a higher vocational college and highlight its own distinguishing features. Focusing on talents cultivation, we should aims at making industries, colleges and research institutes into one, and encourage double-professional-titled teachers so as to solve the existing problems in higher vocational colleges and to advance its development for the sake of satisfying the personnel market demands and boosting social development.
