PE teachers in college and university bear the important mission to cultivate the socialist builders and successors with physically and mentally health.Which the PE teachers give to the students should not only good quality of teaching, but also foster the spirit of innovation and innovation capability of personnel, and the teacher's own innovation ability will directly affect the quality education and the innovative spirit and the ability of innovation.PE teachers in colleges and universities strive to improve the innovative capability are the call of time and the requirements of deepening the reform of China's PE education. In this regard, research and improve the ability of PE teachers in China is an important issue.Suzhou is a big economy and education market in Jiangsu Province. The innovation ability of Suzhou college and university PE teacher will directly affect the construction of Suzhou or the province's talent and even the quality of personnel training and other questions.In this paper, using the ways of literature, questionnaire, interview and mathematical analysis to investigate the innovative capability of PE teachers in colleges and universities in Suzhou, ability to innovate investigate the status of analysis, thus to identify the existing problem, and the corresponding recommendations, in order to strive to improve the innovative capability of PE teachers in colleges and universities in Suzhou and provide a reference to the leadership of management.Results:(1) Suzhou colleges and universities PE teachers mainly young and middle-aged, it is in line with the age level requirements; and who has a master's degree or a doctorate in the number of people accounted for a very low percentage of the total number of teachers, amounting to less than the development of higher education requirements. Office holder structure is not very rational, give first place to the lecturer, what professor takes up proportion is small. (2) PE teachers of Suzhou colleges and universities have the stronger sense of innovation, most of them can realize the importance of innovation for teaching reform and enhance the teaching quality; The purposes of innovation are: improve teaching effectiveness, to upgrade their skills, keep up with social development; Innovation inherent power is: improve the quality of teaching and teaching reform and love of sports; Innovative external power are: the requirements of teaching reform, the rapid development of modern society for teachers and schools requirements.(3)The majority of PE teachers can cognition a variety of innovative ways of thinking and they clearly recognize the relationship among the knowledge, competence and the innovation and the non-intellectual factors on the importance of the role of innovation capability. This will lay a solid foundation to improve the Innovation ability of the PE teachers .(4) Suzhou colleges and universities PE teachers are not good at innovating, half of the teachers still used in traditional teaching models, teaching methods, teaching content and teaching evaluations, and the application of new modes of teaching, teaching methods, teaching contents and teaching evaluation of teachers do not many. They do not have a strong ability to innovate and training methods ,most of them using the conventional training methods, not the novelty and diversity.It is need efforts to improve these areas.(5) PE teachers of Suzhou colleges and universities are aware of scientific research shows the teacher's innovation capability, but the number of papers, quality and application subjects the situation is not optimistic. The research method unitariness adopting composes in reply limitation but diversity and the originality insist to be short.It is need to enhance the level of scientific research.(6) The maily subjiective factors impact the Innovation ability of Suzhou colleges and universities PE teachers include: innovative consciousness, thinking, innovation and motivation, knowledge and quality of teachers; objective factors are: School importance, innovation environment, incentives and so on.Suggested: To strengthen the building of the ranks of teachers, PE teachers constantly improve their academic qualifications and titles of structure; PE teachers need to further strengthen the sense of innovation and innovative thinking; PE teachers strive to improve the innovative capacity; efforts to improve physical education teachers in scientific research innovation capabilities; set up an effective incentive mechanism, to create innovative environment.
