A Comparative Study On The Way Of Life Of The Old In Seoul And Beijing

With the aging,the research on way of life of the old is important and necessary.There have been some studies in the theoretical analysis and some papers basing on survey which all contribute much to the aging studies.However we find that there are no studies in comparative perspective.Based on survey,we compare the life style of the old in Seoul and Beijing to give some suggestions for their health lives.Seoul and Beijing both are the financial,political and cultural center as the Capital of Asian countries——Korea and China,and so they share a lot of characteristics in common.The goal is to study the way of life of the old based on the questionnaire survey in Seoul and Beijing.We analyze the individual backgrounds,diets,regular life,sports life style,smoking and alcoholic preference,psychological adjustment and social relationship with the perspective of statistics.We find that the habits on diets,sport life,smoking and alcoholic preference are obviously different.However the difference in social relationship and psychological adaptation is not significant.We suggest that the old should keep their diet in balance,do exercise regularly, be active and optimistic toward their social life.
