The Compatibility Between Law And Ethics To Improve Rule-of-law Education For University Students

This article illustrates the contents and process of the compatibility between law and ethics, and concludes that the relations between them are dynamic, multi-penetrative and practical. Facing with the lack of the concern and analysis of ethics in the rule-of-law education, the author proposes to reform the rule-of-law education for university students by coordinating law and ethics relations. This paper is divided into the three parts:The first part mainly expounds the basic contents of the compatibility between law and ethics. It is discussed which levels of moral can be legalized, and which levels can not be legalized.The second part analyzes the necessity of the compatibility between law and ethics in rule-of-law education for the university students. Meanwhile, with a recall to the theoretical and practical development of rule-of-law education for university students, it reveals its inner problems.The third part probes the manners to reform the rule-of-law education for university students, which are focusing on the common value of law and moral in rule-of-law education in the university, carrying out the reasonable administration in university, and exploring the compatibility between law and ethics in ideological and political lessons in university.The paper will apply the compatibility between law and ethics to the rule-of-law education in university, for the purpose of adapting to the market economy and finding the new thought of rule-of -law.
