The main purpose of the research is to investigate the city and countryside middle school students'degree of satisfaction on their campus life, with the questionnaire and the interview methods. Investigation and analysis are carried on from these following dimensions: infrastructure, the student managerial system, the studies, the individuality development, the degree-of-freedom, and the companion relationship, teachers and students relationship. After the stratified random sampling, 401 city middle school students and 403 countryside middle school students have been selected as the subjects. This obtained research data is counted with the software SPSS11.5 to carry on the frequency analysis, the chi square test. Draw the following conclusion according to the statistical result: First, over all, both the city and countryside middle students are satisfied with other aspects of their lives except the studies. The latter is a little higher than the former. Second, the city middle school students has more satisfactions on he infrastructure than the countryside middle students. Third, the city and countryside middle students both have lower degree of satisfaction on their studies. Fourth, more of the countryside middle students feel lost to their future; the feeling is stronger with the years going by. Fifth, the countryside middle students are more satisfied than the city students on the degree-of-freedom degree. Summarizing the interview, the author attempts to propose the following education suggestions: The city middle school - - makes the student understand that"cherish the water before the well dry", offers a loose comfortable learning environment for students; effectively uses infrastructure. The countryside middle school - - enhances the infrastructural facilities; takes seriously to raise self-control and other willing qualities; Ideal instruction, guides ideally a bright future for students. All middle schools - - respects the students as people oriented, relieves the study pressure, lightens the studies burden; enhances the student self-confidence with suitable teachers'expectations; sets up the correct comparison view and the happiness view; organizes multiple activities, riches students'campus life.
