Implementing Cooperative Learning is what the second round curriculum reforms demand all the time. However, among the existing research results, most of the researches focus on the value, goals and methods of Cooperative Learning, and just discuss Cooperative Learning theoretically. Few researchers concern how the physical educational teachers put Cooperative Learning into effect at the background of curriculum reforms.On the base of summary of the theories, this article mainly studies the typical case from Shanghai High Schools, and focus on how to carry out Cooperative Learning in physical class. To discuss how the physical teachers think about Cooperative Learning and how they apply this theory to teach students, so as to present the views of the physical teachers and the influence that Cooperative Learning brings to the students and to the teachers' professional development.For different sport items, two teachers apply different cooperative learning methods to teach students in physical class. Gymnastics itself includes the factor of Cooperative Learning. Mrs. Xu teaches the sport item is about one should rolls backward and then free knee stand. During the class, Mrs. Xu demonstrates and explains to the students, and helps them understand the studying objects, and by practice, she knows if the students have mastered the skills. During the whole class, she applies different grouping methods to improve the students' Cooperative Learning. Hurdle is an individual sport item. This skill is complicate and difficult for students to master, but thanks to the Cooperative Learning strategies, Mrs. Gao is successful. During her class, Mrs. Gao carries out Cooperative Learning by the teaching steps include grouping, setting up the objects, practicing and sharing experiences.Research shows that, if Cooperative Learning strategy can be applied properly, it'll improve the students' learning from each other, encouraging each other, and accessing each other. Meanwhile Cooperative Learning will stimulate the students' learning motivation, strengthen their sense of responsibility and team-work spirit, and all above will help the student master skills more quickly. Coincidently, when the teachers implement Cooperative Learning, their teaching skill becomes more perfect, their teaching experience is increasing, and their inner professional structure keeps renewing and making progress. No doubt, the teachers' professional development is improved. The last part of the article is to summarize the important theories, on this base, the writer will try to give some advice to optimize the Cooperative Learning in Physical class and the physical teachers professional development.
