Experiment curriculum is a very important part of professional courses in the specialty of science education of normal school,and the important ensure of achieving the training goal of normal school.With the curriculum reform,"science" course focuses more on training students' hands-ability,and in teaching materials,the proportion of experiments increases,especially inquired experiments.So the requirements of science teachers' experimental skills become higher, and the experiments they can do not only relate to one discipline,but also various disciplines;not only the experiments in textbook,but also the design of new experiments.In this context,it is practically important to do research on the current situation of experiment curriculum in the specialty of science education of normal school,as well as,the problems existing in the current situation.Basing on the above,the first study of this article will know about the setting condition of the specialty of science education at present in our country,and try to find out the current situation of the setting of experiment curriculum from analyzing the teaching plan and using questionnaire,then analyze and study the existent problems.The second study will try to find out the effect of the setting of experiment curriculum from investigating students of normal school,and hope to put forward some proposals for the reform of experiment curriculum.The results of the two studies are:(1) By the end of 2007,in our country there have already been 60 schools setting up the specialty of science education,which scattering in 25 provinces;the majority of these schools is the kind of science,and chemistry is the most,accounting for 40.58%,the next are life science and physics,accounting for 26.09%,20.29%respectively,and education school is the least,accounting for 13.04%;the graduates will be awarded bachelor of science degree much,accounting for 67%, and the next is bachelor of arts degree,accounting for 28%,a few schools(Sichuan normal university,Xiaogan college,Shenyang normal university) can award both bachelor of science degree and bachelor of arts degree.(2) The category of experiment curriculum presents a certain multiplicity from the teaching plan,but tends to be monotonous from the questionnaire;the average of experiment curriculum is about 11;the status of experiment curriculum also needs to be improved and many experiment curriculum are not independent.(3) These colleges almost set basic experiment courses relating to the field of chemistry, biology and physics,but set less experiment courses relating to the field of geography and synthesizing;they incline to set experiment courses belonging to themselves disciplines much;but they are both short of setting inquired experiment course.(4) The proportion of experiment curriculum in the specialty of science education of normal school in our country is lower generally,and there is a gap between the developed country and our country(in our country,the period proportion of experiment curriculum is 13.5%,and the credit hour proportion is 10.32%;the developed country is about 33.33%).(5) Most of the colleges have not build synthesizing laboratory which having special characteristic of science education,and the experiments are done in other corresponding colleges' laboratory except the experiments relating to disciplines which belong to their own schools(and at present only Zhangzhou teacher's college has set up a basic laboratory of science education,and Changchun teacher's college has also established a laboratory of science inquiry);the way of appraising of experiment curriculum in the specialty of science education of normal school tends to be diversification,and adheres to examination paper and questions no longer,and adopts the way of appraising of " written examination + operation "(6) With regard to the setting of experiment curriculum,it is satisfying from the feedback investigation as a whole.Among it,the domain of the field of "chemistry" is more satisfying than the domain of the field of "iology" and "physics";from the feedback investigation,the setting of experiment curriculum is partial to some discipline.(7) From the feedback investigation,the experiment curriculum should keep existing quantity, and add more periods,and regulate the curriculum content,and further standardize the curriculum structure and optimize the curriculum constitution and content."Geography" and "synthesizing" are the fields that students hope to increase most at present.
