Rural education plays the role of foundation,forerunner and a matter of overall importance in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects.To a great extend,the development of rural education depends on the wealth of rural teachers,who are the key of carrying out quality-oriented education and curriculum reforming.Teacher outflow in the countryside is very serious and one of the prominent problems which rural teacher's troop is facing recently.Rural teacher outflow,which is not benign and orderly,is an important topic that the countryside elementary and middle schools need to resolve nowadays.This research adopts case study method.On the basis of analyzing the status of rural teacher outflow,through formal or informal interviews with outflown teacher Yu's leaders,colleagues, students,to illustrate the situation of teacher Yu' teaching before her outflow.Then on the basis of teacher Yu' teaching diary which is written before leaving her position,to state the process of her outflow tendency and analyze the reasons for rural teachers outflow.Through analyzing the cause of rural teacher outflow,the paper concludes that three reasons contribute to rural teacher outflow.First, backwardness of rural society and the lack of school resources brings about the disorderly loss of teachers.The impact on the environment is an important factor in teacher outflow,including the country pays little attention on rural education and the urban-rural dual structure of society,which make rural education become weak position in education,and lack of resources,equipment in rural schools.Secondly,bad School management mechanism leads to teacher disorderly outflow. Including the one-sided concept of school management make leaders of rural school pay more attention on students and ignore teachers' status in school.There is not enough incentive mechanism in rural school that causes no competition.The assessment on teachers is too rigid and can not mobilize the work enthusiasm and initiative of rural teachers.Thirdly,teacher self-development and personality affect the disorderly loss of teachers.Arduous task,low salary and singular training form of teachers influence the self-development and enhancement of rural teachers,and the work enthusiasm and initiative of rural teachers.On the basis of analyzing the reasons of rural teacher disorderly outflow,this paper puts forward to six suggestions to alleviate the rural teacher disorderly outflow:First,increase investment in rural education.Secondly,establish "people-oriented" teacher management concept.Thirdly,improve the incentive mechanism and the distribution mechanism of benefit.Fourthly,establish the equal evaluation system of rural teachers.Fifthly,strengthen continuing education of teachers in rural primary and secondary school.Sixthly,set up regular mechanism of teachers drift.
