Since 1985,master degree programs have been available for applicants with the same level of education to meet the then social and economic requirements.The consequent education expansion has been providing part-time education to those who aspire to enhance themselves but are not able to study in full-time mode.Therefore,the programs,as a complementary part of post-graduate education in China,accelerate the education of gradates with advanced knowledge in specialized areas.However,along the course of running these programs for students of the same level of education,problems,such as student source, administration model,quality of training and thesis etc.,emerge.To maintain and further improve the education quality,changes from both internal operating mechanisms and external environment of the programs require investigating the problems mentioned above and developing solutions to them.Thus,it is essential and urgent to analyze the quality of the programs and build a quality management system for them.Using empirical investigation,statistical analysis,case studies,logical argument, comparative studies,and qualitative and quantitative methods,this thesis examines the principle problems of master degree programs for students of the same level of education.The objective of the study is to supply theoretical support to the development of a quality management system for the programs.The rest of the paper goes as follows.In part 1,I will describe the background,bring up the research questions,explain the significance,justify theoretical basis and review related literature.Part 2 focuses on the development of and achievement of master degree programs for students of the same level of education.I will inspect the problems of and affecting factors of the programs in part 3.Last,part 4 resolves around developing solutions to problems identified in part 3 to foster the development of master degree programs for students of the same level of education.
