With the enlargement of postgraduates' scale,the number of postgraduates has been greatly increased.Therefore,the quality of postgraduate education becomes more and more significant.The overall aim of our postgraduate education is to cultivate high-quality and full-developed talents in all three aspects,namely,moral education,intellectual education and physical education,with the limited financial and material resources, to meet the requirements of high-level talents in most research fields such as economic construction,education and culture,science and technology,national defense and social development,etc.At present,moral education and intellectual education have been greatly strengthened.Postgraduate education overemphasizes on specialization and knowledge's profession and depth,which makes it possible to ignore physical education.Consequently,physical education,the weak part of postgraduate education,has emerged.Moreover,the enrolled postgraduates' physical conscience has been weakened and their physical behavior greatly insufficient.Methodologically speaking,the present research adopts literature review, questionnaire and inquiring experts.The physical sport behavior and physical consumption behavior of the enrolled postgraduates in eight colleges and universities of Shanxi province have been investigated and analyzed.Based on the postgraduates' physical behavior,this research will discover its contributing factors.It is expected that postgraduate physical education will be emphasized and policies consolidating the postgraduates' physical activity conscience and improving their physical behaviors will be obtained.Based on the above analysis,the researcher draws the conclusions as follows.1.The ages of the enrolled postgraduates in colleges and universities of Shanxi Province range from 21 to 25,accounting for 60.8 percent.Most of them have not married and not give birth.And a large percent of postgraduates are those who pursuit the postgraduates after their graduation from colleges and universities directly. Therefore,most of postgraduates are underdeveloped physically.2.On the whole,the postgraduates' physical conditions are preferable.However, the 57.3 percent of postgraduates have a strong feeling that their physical activities are insufficient and the 20.9 percent of students thinks that they are becoming fatter.Furthermore,some of them suffer from chronic.Due to academic stress and insufficient activities,a large number of postgraduates have realized that they have a tendency of being tired physically and mentally,and also their physical strength decreases.3.The 63.1 percent of postgraduates like doing physical activities.It shows that they hold a positive attitude towards physical activities.4.The postgraduates have not formed a good physical behavior.The 11.6 percent of postgraduates have reached the standard to determine physical population.The time for the postgraduates to do physical activities is arranged out-of-order, spontaneous and at random.The sporting location is mainly around physical equipments and open ground about dormitory.The former is 43.1 percent and the latter is 36.9 percent,respectively.The main form for the postgraduates to do physical activities is to practice with their friends.The choice of sport item has a tendency of being multiplied.On the whole,the male postgraduates like doing athletic activities whereas the female postgraduates like being quiet.5.The factors influencing physical behavior of the postgraduates in colleges and universities in Shanxi province are various.Physical conscience is not the main factors for physical behavior.The most important contributing factors are time, lack of physical equipment,inertia,poor organization or physical guidance.
