It has been eight years since the reform of physical education in 1999.The "Standards of Physical and Health Education" in high schools was also promulgated in 2003."The New Standards" ask teacher to meet the requirements of new curriculum reform.For adapt to the demands for and challenges to teachers' qualities.The training of teachers to "The New Standards" is an important way to solve the problem.This study begins with the problems which PE teachers in Jiangxi high school encountered in the training of "The New Standards".Through literature method and questionnaire survey,by using the training of PE teachers in Jiangxi high school for the study,the thesis gives more comprehensive surveys and studies to the training of "The New Standards" by the first line of PE teachers in Jiangxi high school.The conclusions are as follow:1.The participants of the training are mainly graduates and undergraduate. The rank of which are mainly the first and secondary level of teachers in high schools.The structure is more reasonable.2.The diversity of training values in different participants,resulting in the attitude of majority of students participating in the training of "The New Standards" is not very positive.Training goals are different as knowledge of "versed","extensive","specialized","new" and personal "profit".Teachers considering the "new" of knowledge as their purpose,with the aim of meeting the requirements of "The New Standards" are few in number,thus training fails to reach the appropriate results.3.Training objectives of training institutions are not clear.The goal of training should be "upgraded".We should aim at update teacher' s notion of education and change their concept of education,so that PE teachers participating in the training of "The New Standards" can learn from "teaching by textbooks' to "use textbooks".This is the key to improve the quality of training.4.The categories of training curriculum of "The New Standards" are too little.Teaching content is obsolete and redundant,most of them have the orientation of formalization,and have little practical result. Elective courses occupy a small proportion among the curriculums.The courses set up lack of creativity,cannot well satisfy the individual needs of the training students.These have greatly suppressed the teachers' initiative to participating in "The New Standards" training.5.Training courses excessively go after the systematic of academic knowledge.The main mode of training is systemic teaching by teachers, lacking of training to improve the learners' ability,and is not conducive to exploit their identity.The model of teaching organization relies on non-off-job training,accords with the characteristics of in-service teachers.6.The main content of the examination to the training is to test the theory. The way of examination is now mainly homework or summary.The examination should be a flexible combination of way and content,a rational use according to the characteristics of the training.After understanding the current status quo,this research has done a reasonable analysis,and made relevant recommendations to the problems that exist in the training process.Look forward to make modest contributions to "the New Standards" training of PE teachers in Jiangxi, and the training of Jiangxi PE teachers can walk out of the inefficient education.
