The turning of the century marked the beginning of the reform of teacher education in our country. At present, the pre-service education for teachers, as one of the most important parts of teacher education, has begun to develop healthily. Meanwhile, the idea of teacher specialization has received extensive approval from all social circles and is now getting more and more popular.Under this background, great achievements have been made in the reform of the pre-service education for primary teachers, and a more open, diversifying higher normal pre-service education for primary teachers begins to form gradually. However, the primary education system in our country, which is the biggest one in the world, has not got enough high-quality teacher's resources, and as a result, there comes the very serious problem of structural deficiency of teachers. This has already brought negative influence to the curriculum reform in primary education in our country. To deal with this problem, the author, from the visual angle of teacher specialization, tries to study the history, the traditional features and present situation of the pre-service education for primary school teachers in our country.Through the study, the author, after studying the characteristics and developing laws of the pre-service education for teachers, puts forward some new strategies and measures on the development and reform of the pre-service education for primary teachers in our country from the visual angle of teacher specialization. The author hopes that this study can enrich the present theories on the pre-service education for teachers, and hopefully, that this study can provide some useful information for the reform and improvement of the pre-job education system in our country and promote its healthy development.
