China's higher education has completed the change from "elite education" to "public education", and with the continuous deepening reform of graduate employment system in China, the employment mechanism of "market orientation, government regulation, school recommendation, two-way choice between students and employers" has formed basically. However, with higher education scale expanding, the number of college graduates increased nearly 5 times from 2001 to 2008, which brought heavy pressure to graduate employment. The situation of employment becomes increasingly serious, with various colleges and universities influenced at various levels.Jilin Academy of Agricultural Science and Technology, an agricultural university mainly cultivating practical talents, has just ascended to the undergraduate lever, Due to the overall employment situation of our society and the limitations of itself, students of Jilin Academy of Agricultural Science and Technology are facing many problems in finding jobs, and the employment guiding work needs to be strengthened.This paper is an empirical study on the graduate employment issue of Jilin Academy of Agricultural Science and Technology. It introduces related concepts and theories of employment and employment guidance by literature study based on extensively bound information. It designs employing unit feedback questionnaire, investigation form of the situation of graduate employment guiding organizations, and graduate employment questionnaire, and undergraduates' career intention questionnaire by questionnaire method. On the basis of statistic and analysis, this paper summarizes the situation of graduate employment of Jilin Academy of Agricultural Science and Technology. It analyzes the factors that affect employment from various angles and puts forward corresponding strategies and measures, including strengthening policy support and assistance, establishing public opinion orientation and improving information service, deepening educational reform and enhancing employment guidance, and uplifting graduate overall quality and converting their employment concept. All this can provide experience and reference to promote educational reform and improve graduate employment not only for Jilin Academy of Agricultural Science and Technology but for related organizations and institutes.
