In the history of the development in education, each pregress in science and technolohy had a prefound impact in every field of education and led to the changes in educational theory, educational concepts and teaching methods and manner. Information technology itself and its application in the field of education is to develop by leaps and bounds. Now, in the school teaching the application of multimedia technology is supporting a very common practice of teaching, research results are also emerging. However, how is the status quo of the multi-media teaching in school? What are the problems? What are factors that affect the multi-media teaching? In this paper, these are to be explored.By in-depth investigation on the status of multi-media teaching in No.8 Middle School in Huangshi, this article aims at middle school multi-media teaching as the basic situation, and provides the necessary reference about the full application of multimedia technology in Middle School. The objects of this survey are the construction of hardware facilities, the management and use of courseware design, the use of multimedia teaching and learning processes and the evaluation of multi-media teaching in No. 8 Middle School. The methods of investigation and research are interviews with teachers and students, classroom observation and questionnaire. Survey showed that: teachers and students welcomed the multi-media teaching comparison, but it was found that there are still some questions on multi-media teaching in middle school: 1, the management level of multi-media teaching facilities is necessary to be improved further; 2, multi-media teaching resources, more poverty, courseware design is not reasonable enough; 3, the traditional teacher-centered teaching mode is still dominant, there is still a lack of an effective teacher-student interaction and communication; 4,the evaluation of multi-media teaching is not rational enough and necessary to be improved further.This article is intended to regard behaviorism, cognitive theory, constructivist theory as a guide, analyze the problems were discovered during the investigations and give proposals about how to improve and enhance multi-media teaching: 1, to Strengthen the hardware configuration and management of the multi-media teaching facilities; 2, enhance the quality of multi-media Courseware; 3, set up multi-media teaching resource library; 4, strengthen the training; 5, improve both roles of teachers and students and promote the bilateral interaction; 6, set up a scientific evaluation system of multimedia.
