Chinese higher education is coming to a new stage with its rapid expansion. During the process, graduate employment problem has been a widespread public concern of educational administration departments, academia, student's parents and others from all fields of society. As employment rate is a main evaluating criterion for universities under current circumstance, the carrying out of university career guidance has a direct impact on promoting universities'social popularity, absorbing educational input and investment, as well as attracting high-quality students. Consequently, it is a hot research issue on how to objectively evaluate university career guidance, urging higher educational institutions to further improve their relevant work.Whereas, the existing evaluation systems is not quite adaptable to the constant changing requirement of higher education institutions, either in terms of their theoretical basis, evaluating notions, standards , principles, index or constructive process. By tracing back relevant concepts, this thesis aims to construct a brand new evaluating system for university career guidance which is quite different from former ones.Utilized in this thesis are statistical data, empirical studies and conclusions of former researches. The thesis also illustrates limitations of present work in university career guidance and its evaluation system. Hopefully, a new quality management system for career guidance in higher education institutions can be founded through this research.
