In recent years, the number of the high-school students who commit suicide and injuries on others is taking on a gradually increasing trend and some college students can not treat the life and understand the meaning of it rationally and maturely. Therefore life education has been given added weight and most educators hope to enhance the students' awareness and the value of their life through life education. By handing out the questionnaires , together with some interviews of depth on quite a considerable number of individuals, the research is aimed at gaining some insights into the students' views on life and their inner thinking about the value and the meaning of life and thus advice on carrying out the life education will be proposed.According to the survey, the majority of the students nowadays have a rather positive attitude towards life. They have a helpful understanding about life and can go deep into the value of it. However , there are still a small part of students who hold negative attitudes towards life and never penetrated into the value of their lives. From these aspects as to the school education, social influences, family education and individuals' experience, the paper analyses the elements that may utter influences on the students' view on the life. In light of the experience concerning the life education in foreign countries, detailed ways of implementing the life education were put forward: offering courses about life education, giving guidance in students' mental health, reforming and improving the administrative system in schools, constructing the network of life education, building the thoroughfare to educate the students on life crisis, bring all the forces from families and the society into play to build a healthy environment for life education.The purpose of life education is that students are taught to cherish, respect and care for the life and know how o conduce himself in society. Furthermore, they will learn how to choose from the diversity of the values of life, to live a life after mastering the ways of existing in the world, to always treat others equally and thus respect them, to tolerate and be responsible on the basis of love. Eventually, students will acquire the innate character and principal value of life.
