Since the"Reform and Opening-up", Chinese private education has made great contribution to the reform and development of education, especially after the publication of《Promotion Law of Private Education》, private education entered a new booming stage, but with the implementation of nine-year compulsory education, private education confront a new challenge. This paper chiefly adopts many methods such as documentation, questionnaire, expert interview and on-site inspection to study the current situation of some private primary and secondary schools in Xinjiang, such as P.E. teaching, teacher stuff and influencing factors. Results show:(1) The implementation of P.E. teaching in the private primary and secondary schools in Xinjiang is generally good, and the situation in north part of Xinjiang is better than that of south and east parts, but the implementation of P.E. (and health) curriculum standards is inadequacy, and the theory teaching has a larger degree of freedom and arbitrariness;(2) Students'interest in learning P.E. is fairly high and their motivations are multiple; the students'evaluation of themselves is fairly high; teaching methods are reasonable and content can meet students'needs basically. There is a big difference between boys and girls in the choice of favorite teaching and learning content, and P.E. teaching evaluation system cannot vary from person to person;(3) Teachers in private primary and secondary schools are mainly young; they have fairly high educational degree. P.E teachers in school not only undertake teaching, but also many other work. In self-evaluation of the effect of teaching, female teachers'is higher than that of males; the number of full-time teachers is inadequacy, especially female, but the title structure and their academic ability are rather low;(4) Some schools invest much more funds, and the sports venues and equipment can meet the needs of teaching and students'extracurricular exercise, but the phenomenon of lack of sports venues, sports equipment etc in private primary and secondary school are rather general, which in secondary schools are better than those in primary ones, which in cities schools are better than those in rural areas, the actual status of P.E. curriculum is low in schools teaching, most of them stay at the status of not interested or non-essential;(5) P.E. teaching management system in private primary and secondary schools is generally better, but the form and methods need further improving and optimizing. School leaders do not give enough attention to P.E. class, and P.E teachers'benefits are rather low; the opportunity for P.E. teachers totaking part in training is rathter little;(6) The transmission of information between teachers and students are frequent, classroom atmosphere is good, parents support of students participating in physical activity decreases with the lower grades increasing to higher grades, which brings a certain degree of negative impact to the higher grades students P.E. exercise.
