To the higher education, employment situation for graduates is more and more serious with increasingly expanded enrollment, and the problem of employment is underlined gradually. To confront with the serious situation, a fair number of experts have done lots of studies on graduates'current employment situation, psychology and trend, and put forward lots of propositions. Comparing with the other scholars'studies which emphasize policy and macro side, the study stresses the graduates'job searching behavior based on job searching theory, and analyzes the problem deeper in micro aspects.Chapter one is introduction, indicating the terrible condition of graduates students employment , and discuss the meaning and purpose, content and manners, the study plan and technical route on the base of definating the research object and the important notion.Chapter two is theoretical basis and literature review. First of all, this study elicits the job search theory form information economics review. In the abroad, most of the study about job search are researching the labor market in developed country, and also most scholars are in macroscopical aspect to research labor transfer; in China, many scholars are beginning use this theory to research the university graduates employment. However, there is few study to research the graduates employment, this study will pay much attention to this and make a fundament for the following chapters.The third chapter will illustrate the graduates'job searching behavior in detail. The first, the writer defines the behavior in four dimensions as following: information factors and the way to acquire information, the wages of the graduates expected and the cost of searching, intensity of search and extensity of search, career cognition and job-hunting results. Then the writer analyzes various factors which will influence Gansu graduates'job searching behavior. At last, the writer analyzes and explains the deep-rooted relationship between the factors influencing the Gansu graduates'job searching behavior and employment results through job searching model of labor market.The fourth chapter is conclusions and recommendations. Based on the over statements, I come to a main conclusion and put forward lots of targeted recommendations, illuminating the problems which have not explained in the study and future research consideration.
